Swift Group of Colleges, under able guidance of Group President, Dr Gopal Munjal, hosted an event to felicitate Mr Aadil Bedi, an International Golfer from Chandigarh. Mr Aadil has won 170+ medals in National and International games. Chief Guest of the event was Dr Paramvir Singh, Professor, Deptt of Sports, Punjabi University Patiala. Mr Aadil Bedi has taken admission in SGOC in graduate program session 2021-22.
COVID-19 Vaccination Drive at SGOC
On 17th June, 2021, an open COVID-19 vaccination drive was held at Swift Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Patiala under Honble guidance of Dr G. Munjal, Group President and Dr Maninder Mehmi, Assistant Director.
A team of local Govt. Doctors and Nurses conducted the camp activities the whole day. Students, staff members and local villagers took benefit of this camp with full enthusiasm and got vaccinated. About 100 persons were vaccinated in the camp. It was a very good initiative of the group for selfless social service.
FRESHERS PARTY
Swift Group of Colleges celebrated Freshers party for newcomers students who had joined Group institutions in various courses viz Nursing, Pharmacy and general management. The inaugural lamp was lightened by Dr Gopal Munjal, Honble Group President. The occasion was also graced by presence of Dr Maninder, Assistant Director and other staff members. Fresher students enthralled the audience with their powerful and lightening performances that included modeling show, dances, singing and skit plays to name a few. Dr Munjal appreciated the performance of the students and wished them a comfortable and enjoyable journey for the years to come at Group institutes. Dr Maninder also praised the students for their energetic presentations and assured them all assistance in their academic endeavor. Later in the day winners were announced and given away the prizes.
WOMENS DAY CELEBRATION 2021
Swift Group Of Colleges celebrated International Womens Day on 8th March, 2021 with fun filled activities. Group President, Dr Gopal Munjal congratulated all female staff for their sincere hard work and distributed sweets among them to honor them. As a kind gesture, male staff had prepared lunch for their female counterparts on the day. Dr Maninder, Assistant Director, SGOC congratulated entire female staff and showered paise for male staff for preparing sumptuous lunch which was later relished by all. As a token of mutual respect female and male staff exchanged gifts & sweets with each other. On the other hand, girl students of colleges were given a chance to play their role models amongst staff. It was a unique opportunity that students enjoyed in understanding the intricacies involved in running an educational institution. In the end Dr Munjal announced a new scheme "Girl Student Referral Scheme" whereby to encourage girl students to pursue their higher education. The key pointers of the scheme are that current SGOC students gets an opportunity to refer +2 girl students for admission and will in return get suitable reward/incentive. Girl students are also eligible for various scholarships that are already announced (according to their eligibility). The sole motive of this scheme is to encourage girl child to pursue higher education and become self reliant to earn their livelihood with honor & dignity.
