An interdepartmental volleyball match was organised at Swift Group of Colleges on 24th November.
The teams were cheered by Dr Gopal Munjal, Group President alongwith Dr Maninder, Assistant Director and staff& students. Pharmacy College Boys and Nursing College Girls won their respective league matches. Prizes were given to the winners by Dr Munjal amidst cheers and accolades.
Ride with Pride - Womens Car Rally
Swift Group of Colleges organized a wonderful program in support of Ride with Pride - Womens Car Rally. Brigadier Peter Bedi and Ms. Gagan Dhind were the chief operators of this rally event.
The rally started from Shri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Sector 26, Chandigarh and passed through various cities of Punjab, halted briefly at Swift Group of Colleges and ended at Forest Hill Golf Resort, Mohali. There were star attractions like treasure hunts, surprise gifts and so on throughout this fun-filled event. Eminent women drivers from many states of India participated in this event which also included star rallyist Dr. Bani Yadav.
On this occasion, a tableau of Punjab state was prepared in the college campus in which the lifestyle and costumes of Punjabis were displayed.
Diwali Celebration in College
On the auspicious festival of Diwali, a puja ceremony was organized in the Swift Group of Colleges. Dr. Gopal Munjal, President Swift Group of colleges and Dr. Maninder, Assistant Director extended their warm wishes to all the employees and said that this festival brings joy and happiness in everyones personal life. All the staff performed the puja with full devotion.
During this, Rangoli was made and lamps were also lit. Dr. G. Munjal distributed sweets to all the staff and congratulated them.
Sponsoring girl students for higher education in GNM course
NPL (Nabha Power Limited), Rajpura under its CSR and in collaboration with Swift Group of Colleges, is sponsoring 10 poor girl students for their higher education in GNM course at Swift Institute of Nursing.
These students were facilitated at NPL office in the presence of their parents. On this occasion, Dr. Gopal Munjal, President, SGOC congratulated all students and hoped for their best future. Dr. Maninder Mehmi, Assistant Director, SGOC encouraged these students to study dedicatedly and carve niche for themselves in the society to become a successful person. After that they were taken to SGOC for briefings where they took round of campus, labs and interacted with their teachers.
