Swift group of colleges organised 'Pratibha' cultural fest on 22nd November with the theme 'Drug abuse'. Various schools of the region participated in various categories of signing, dancers, skits, rangoli, mehndi art, pot painting, science exhibition, etc to showcase their talent under the theme. The students and staff of Swift colleges had put up various stalls including fun games and food.
National Pharmacy Week Celebration
National Pharmacy Week (NPW) is a channel to create awareness among the general public about the profession of Pharmacist and the role he plays to make a Healthier India. Acknowledging the invaluable contributions that the pharmacist make to the healthcare system SWIFT SCHOOL OF PHARMACY celebrated National Pharmacy Week on 21st and 22nd October 2024. The function was inaugurated by Respected Dr Maninder, Asst. Director, SGOC and Ms Shikha Shah, Academic Coordinator, SGOC. Various activities like Rangoli Competition and Poster Presentation was organized to commemorate the occasion. All students participated in the event with full enthusiasm. Prof. Bikash Medhi, Professor of Department of Pharmacology, PGIMER, Chandigarh delivered an expert talk on the topic India's Pharmaceutical Ecosystem. Dr. Medhi described India’s Progress towards achieving OECD Mutual Acceptance of Data (MAD) and striving for pharmaceutical excellence. All faculty members and students attended the guest lecture. Also a free health check-up camp was organized for all the students and staff to spread awareness about health check-up and maintaining a healthy life.
World Pharmacist Day Celebration
Swift School of Pharmacy proudly commemorated World Pharmacist Day on 25-Sep-2024, emphasizing the vital role pharmacists play in healthcare. This year's theme, "Pharmacists: Meeting Global Health Needs" inspired a series of engaging activities aimed at raising awareness about the contributions of pharmacists in improving health outcomes. Many key topics such as medication management, patient safety, drug de-addiction and the evolving role of pharmacists in public health were discussed. Pharmacist oath ceremony was performed by all registered pharmacist. More than 150 students took part in the different events. Students participated in various competitions such as Poster Making, Model Making, showcasing their knowledge and skills in pharmaceutical sciences, and demonstrating innovative solutions to common healthcare challenges.
Teacher's Day Celebration
On Teacher's Day, our college celebrated the event with great enthusiasm, reflecting the appreciation and respect students hold for their educators.
The day began with a heartfelt speech by the Dr. G.Munjal highlighting the invaluable role teachers play in shaping students' lives. Following the speech, students performed cultural programs, including dances, songs, and a short skit. A special segment was dedicated to the felicitation of teachers, where they were honored with small tokens of appreciation and heartfelt notes from students. The teachers shared their experiences and offered guidance to students, emphasizing the importance of learning and dedication. It was a day filled with joy, respect, and gratitude, leaving everyone with fond memories.
