 International Women’s Day , Proposed by Swift Institute of Engineering& Technology was celebrated by Swift Group of Colleges with immense pleasure & enthusiasm. The event was Glaced by the esteemed presence of Ms. Sukhwinder pal kaur, Supervisor of social services. In her entire career she had commendable achievements in serving the human & also possess enriched experience in empowering the womenhood in rural areas in vicinity. The main Endeavour of the event was to propagate the importance of Women & their value they hold in the society .Many heart throbbing performances added grandeur to the event.  Swift Group of Colleges organized a guest Lecture on "Trends in Automotive Industry- its present status and future prospects" on 29th Nov 2011 at Swift Institute of Engineering and Technology.
The Expert talk was given by Mr Harkrishan Singh, an IIT Roorkee 1961 pass out with 31 years of working experience with global automobile giant Ford Motor Company, Detroit, USA.

 Swift Institute of Engineering & Technology (SIET), a constituent of SWIFT GROUP OF COLLEGES (SGOC), organized one day workshop on "SCOPE OF EMBEDDED SYSTEM" on 16th November, 2011. The workshop was conducted by M/s ADVANCE TECHNOLOGY Chandigarh. Er.Amitej Bajaj and Er.Praveen Kumar from Advance Technology shared their practical knowledge about embedded systems and also motivated the young budding Engineers of SGOC to start working on microcontrollers.
The workshop started with discussion on Latest technology trends like embedded, VLSI and wireless. The embedded system is a combination of Hardware and software for a particular application.
In the practical sessions, the students got hands on experience on microcontroller kits which includes operating KEIL software, downloading of code in microcontroller, interfacing and programming of LED, Buzzer. The students also learnt DC motor control in different direction and stepper motor control in different angles.
